Welcome!  The laboratory of John R. Engen performs research at the interface of Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Structural Biology.  We use hydrogen exchange and mass spectrometry (HXMS) as core technologies to probe protein structural dynamics.  We are members of the Barnett Institute of Chemical and Biological Analysis and
the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Northeastern University.
